Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson are in contention for Liverpool’s meeting with Crystal Palace after overcoming injury, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.
But the Reds will be without Joel Matip and James Milner after both men picked up knocks during Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Everton.
Having missed training sessions in the build-up to that visit to Goodison Park, Salah was only able to take a place on the bench, while Robertson was left out of the squad entirely.
The absence of the latter resulted in a start at left-back for Milner, who was joined in the back four by central defender Matip.
However, neither man lasted the entirety of the 90 minutes, with injuries forcing them to leave the field to be replaced by Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren respectively.
Asked about the condition of his squad ahead of the Reds’ next game, Klopp said: “[Salah] trained yesterday completely normal, will train today completely normal, then he is available.
“What I will make of the line-up then, you will have to wait!
“It’s the same with Robbo, he trained yesterday as well completely normal so that is the same.
“The two guys, Millie and Joel, will not be available.
“We have to figure out exactly how long it will take but [on Wednesday] they don’t play.”
Matip’s absence is likely to see Joe Gomez restored to the centre of defence, while Takumi Minamino could lose his place up top to the fit-again Salah.
But the short turnaround between fixtures following a three-month break could force Klopp into further changes elsewhere as he looks to avoid overworking his plays.
Georginio Wijnaldum is a candidate for a return after featuring only as a substitute against Everton, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could push for a start having clocked up 45 minutes against the Toffees.

Predicted XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Keita, Salah, Firmino, Mane.
