Young winger Ben Doak is a doubt having made a partial return to training on Monday following a leg muscle injury. Conor Bradley, Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic are out.

"We have missed Thiago," assistant coach Pep Lijnders said. "I have missed him a lot. Imagine our new midfield that people are talking about and you have Thiago in the middle as well guiding. [The injury] will take time. He won't be available."

Harvey Elliott, Wataru Endo and Curtis Jones have all been regulars in the cups for the Reds and that indeed continues against Bournemouth.

Luis Diaz is not expected to feature given the ongoing situation regarding his parents in Colombia.

Starting Liverpool XI: Kelleher; Gomez, Matip, Van Dijk, Chambers; Elliott, Endo, Jones; Salah, Jota, Gakpo

Subs: Adrian, Van Dijk, Konate, Nunez, Mac Allister, Jota, Gravenberch, Scanlon, Alexander-Arnold

Unavailable: Diaz

Time and date: 7.45pm GMT, Wednesday November 1, 2023

Venue: Vitality Stadium
