Roberto Firmino is in line to return for Liverpool against Arsenal tonight and could come straight into the starting XI.
The Brazilian has missed the Reds’ last three games because of a knee injury but has recovered during the international break and is available for selection.
However, there was less positive news on the injured trio of Virgil van Dijk, Jordan Henderson and Joe Gomez, with Jurgen Klopp admitting he has “no idea” whether any of them will be fit in time for this summer’s European Championship, though captain Henderson is expected to return to training in the coming “days and weeks”.
“Nothing changed,” Klopp said. “So they are all in the place they should be at the moment. That’s it.
“The rest, the time will show. They are, at the moment, in the rehab process, I deliver the news when I have it and I don’t have any at the moment.”
