A woman whose partner dumped her for being 'too disabled' has spoken out about her heartbreak.

Emily Linka, 32, from Liverpool , has Ehlers-Danlos and a functional neurological disorder, causing chronic pain.

After suffering a stroke last year, the autism training consultant has been using a wheelchair.

But she revealed how hard it has been to imagine herself being loved in her chair, after claiming her partner left her for being 'too disabled'.

Asking her Twitter followers for success stories of what love looks like while being disabled, Emily said: "Weird request but f*** it.

"If you're disabled and in a happy, loving relationship, would you mind sharing a photo of you and your partner with me?

"Bonus points for wheelchair users and LGBT folk Brain is finding it SO hard to imagine being loved in my chair."

Thousands of responses poured in from across the world.

One user told Emily how he had dated his partner for for 24 years.

He said: "[We] love each other to bits and have done since we first met.

"Never found my wheelchair as a barrier to dating. If someone was put off then it's their loss and a lucky escape for me. Go out there and mingle, have fun."

Following the incredible reaction, Emily admitted her own heartbreak.

She said: "It's made me so emotional.

"I'm having such a hard time coming to terms with using my wheelchair and last year I was broken up with for being too disabled (and that was before I used a chair at all).

"It's so wonderful to be blessed with all these amazing stories of diverse love."
