Liverpool win and two unlikely scorers as Chelsea match predicted by FIFA 20

Liverpool will be looking to bounce back from their midweek Champions League defeat to Napoli this weekend, as they face Frank Lampard's Chelsea at Stamford Bridge today.

Striker Divock Origi remains a doubt for the Reds, and Alisson is still unavailable, but Naby Keita has returned to training this week although this match is expected to come too soon.

For Chelsea, they have fitness concerns over N'Golo Kante, Antonio Rudiger, Emerson Palmieri and Mason Mount heading into the game.

So, what will the final score be against Chelsea?

And, what XI will Jurgen Klopp pick this weekend?

We used FIFA 20 to predict the outcome of this weekend's top six clash.

Chelsea vs Liverpool on FIFA 20

To set up this simulation, we used kick-off mode within FIFA 20 but didn't select a team to control; we then selected the teams and watched the match play out by itself, to give us a unique prediction.

The AI difficulty was set to world class, with the line-up updated with the latest transfers, injuries and suspensions.

We predict that Chelsea will set up in a 3-4-3 formation, with their line-up as follows; Kepa; Tomori, Christensen, Zouma; Azpilicueta , Kovacic, Jorginho, Alonso; Pulisic, Abraham, Mount.

We predict that Liverpool will set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with the line-up as follows: Adrian; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Henderson; Mane, Firmino, Salah.

It was Chelsea who started the game the better, dominating the ball and pushing forward at every opportunity.

The Blues first real chance of the game came in the 5th minute when Christian Pulisic got the better of Robertson on the right.

The American floated a great ball in towards Tammy Abraham, who beat Matip in the air but his header went just wide of Adrian's goal.

However, as the first-half went on, Liverpool got stronger and stronger and it was the Reds who were now dominating the ball.

And, in the 18th minute, a moment of real quality from Gini Wijnaldum resulted in the first goal of the game.

Jordan Henderson laid the ball off to the Dutchman, who turned Jorginho and drove into the Chelsea area, before smashing an effort hard and low past Kepa to make it 1-0.

A brilliant goal.

After the break, the game became more even, with both teams having spells of possession, but not really doing much with it.

But, with just five minutes to go, Liverpool sealed the win thanks to a goal from substitute Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who found himself free in the area after having the ball crossed to him by Mohamed Salah on the breakaway.

The English midfielder was delighted with the goal.

And that's how it finished.

Full-time score: Chelsea 0-2 Liverpool

Here are the full-time match stats.

(EA SPORTS FIFA)

As you can see, a fairly even game in terms of possession, but Liverpool were the much more dangerous of the two sides.

Fabinho was the Man of the Match, controlling the game from deep and snuffing out any danger.

(EA SPORTS FIFA)

FIFA 20 predicts that Liverpool may not dominate possession against Chelsea, but they will dominate in terms of end product, leading to a comfortable win for Jurgen Klopp's side.
