Liverpool overcame a tough test at Molineux as goals from Jordan Henderson and Roberto Firmino sealed a 2-1 win over Wolves to send the Premier League leaders 16 points clear.
Jurgen Klopp's side started brightly as captain Henderson headed home a Trent Alexander-Arnold corner after eight minutes.
Unfortunately for the table-toppers, Sadio Mane departed 33 minutes into the contest with an injury problem - though his departure meant a Premier League debut for Takumi Minamino.
Wolves rallied after the break with Adama Traore impressive on the right flank, and it was his cross which Raul Jimenez powered home with a fine header following a neat one-two to level six minutes after the restart.

Liverpool looked vulnerable against Traore's pace, but their quality told in the end as Firmino latched on to a Henderson pass into the Wolves area, switched the ball onto his left foot and expertly fired past Rui Patricio with six minutes left on the clock.

The result means Liverpool leave Molineux with their unbeaten run in tact, and now sit 16 points clear of Manchester City with a game in hand as their long wait for the title ticks down.
