Former Liverpool captain Graeme Souness has stated that there's 'nothing you cannot like' about Sadio Mane and stated he'll be a big miss against Aston Villa.
The Senegal international is unavailable for this evening's clash after testing positive for coronavirus and has entered a period of self-isolation as per regulations.
Mane has been in stellar form so far this season in the Premier League, netting three goals in the opening three matches, but Diogo Jota will step-up in his absence.
However, Souness believes that Mane is one of two players, along with Virgil van Dijk, that fans would have not wanted to be without.
"Ask most Liverpool supporters who you wouldn't want to miss games, it would be Mane and Van Dijk. He will be missed," he told Sky Sports.
"He’s so aggressive, there’s absolutely nothing you cannot like about Sadio Mane. If you’re playing with him, you’d love him because of the effort he puts in every time, the goals he gets, the creativity, the chances he makes for everyone else. That’s a big miss for them.”
Liverpool will be hopeful that Mane will be available for the Merseyside derby against Everton after the first international break of the season.
