'Liverpool will feast on us' - Chelsea fans devastated after major injury blow against Valencia

There was a major blot in Chelsea's return to Champions League football as the Blues took on La Liga side Valencia at Stamford Bridge.

A poor tackle from former Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin left Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount holding his ankle, and although the youngster did attempt to play on, he was forced from the field just a few minutes later in what would have been a concerning sight for Chelsea fans.

Mount has quickly become one of the most important players in Frank Lampard's side, despite only playing five Premier League games for the club.

The 20-year-old has scored three goals in them five games and has been the creative force in the Blues' midfielder. He is also one of a few players to play every minute of Premier League football so far this season.

After hobbling off the pitch against Valencia, Chelsea fans were eager to learn the latest news on the midfielder's injury.

The Blues face league leaders Liverpool in the next Premier League game, with fans hoping that Mount will make a quick recovery in order to give them the best chance possible in getting a positive result from the game.

The Reds are the only team in the league yet to lose a game this season.
