Liverpool will be hotter than Greece this weekend as temperatures soar

Liverpool will be hotter than Greece this weekend as temperatures in the region soar.

The Met Office is predicting that by Sunday April 5, Liverpool could see 17 degrees C heat.

This is hotter than the likes of Greek holiday hotspot Thessaloniki which will reach a high of 15 degrees C on Sunday.

The warm weather will be a welcome change following Storm Ciara and Dennis earlier this year.

And while we may not be able to go outside to a beer garden and enjoy the warm weather with friends, those with gardens can soak up some rays - while our daily exercise will be a bit more cheerful.

The Met Office said: "Saturday will be dry with sunny spells but windy.

"Sunday and Monday will stay windy with rain at times. Feeling warmer than recent days."

According to forecasters, an increase in temperature will start on Saturday April 4 where at around 4pm, Liverpool will be in 12C heat.

But by 1pm on Sunday, we can expect 14C before temperatures climb to 17C at 4pm.

AT the start of next week, temperatures will slightly fall to a mild 13C to 14C.
