Liverpool weekend weather as city set to be hotter than Greece

The lockdown heatwave is set to continue, with scorching temperatures reaching the mid-twenties as the sunshine sticks around until June.

Saturday is expected to be hotter than Greece, with temperatures expected to soar to 24 degrees according to the Met Office.

The Met Office reports yesterday and today were set for the highest temperatures but the welcome sunshine is predicted to last well into next week.

Temperatures will remain high, above 20°C at least up until Wednesday, with zero to low chances of rain set to continue until next weekend.

Liverpool is expected to see highs of 25°C today and 24°C on Saturday whereas those in Greece are predicted to see 23°C on Saturday, in partly cloudy conditions.

The high temperatures will continue on Sunday, with temperatures reaching up to 24 degrees.

It's expected to get a little breezy in the evenings but the heat will remain until next week.

If you fancy a socially distanced visit to a park to soak up some sun, here's a detailed breakdown of the weather this weekend:

Saturday

A slight drop of a few degrees on Saturday but high temperatures will still be around the 24°C mark for the region without a cloud in the sky.

The maximum temperature is expected to be 26°C in the UK.

Sunday

More lengthy periods of sunshine are set to continue as the weekend comes to a close with temperatures reaching around 23°C.

On Monday and Tuesday, it may be a little cloudier but will continue to be very warm.
