With the start of the new working week, the weather has turned noticeably cooler.
Although temperatures were generally warm over the weekend, they were kept in check by cloudy skies and stiff breezes in exposed areas. The Met Office says that this week will be "mostly dry." After a chilly start today (Monday), it will be another largely dry day with sunny spells. Isolated showers may develop through middle of the day but remaining dry for most. Cooler than recent days but less windy too, with a maximum temperature of 15C.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) will be chilly but bright at first. Cloud will build from the east through the morning, though most places will stay dry throughout. Mostly light winds, with a maximum temperature of 14C.

The outlook for the rest of the week (Wednesday to Friday) is for it to be largely dry and settled though often cloudy. Thursday is likely to be the brightest day. Risk of overnight frosts, with the forecast that it will be turning warmer by the end of the week.
