Liverpool is set to bask in the spring sunshine on Bank Holiday Monday.
The long weekend has so far experienced mixed conditions as the Met Office expect Merseyside will be battered by heavy rain this evening. The forecasting agency's outlook for tomorrow is much more positive as temperatures are predicted to reach 16C.
The full forecast for Monday said: "After a cloudy and, in places, misty start, sunny spells will develop into the afternoon. The odd shower is also possible, mainly over the hills. Feeling markedly warmer than Sunday."

The Met Office's hour-by-hour forecast predicts conditions will remain cloudy across tomorrow morning. However, the sunshine is set to arrive on Merseyside from 1pm.
