Merseyside is to experience some milder weather this week, as we enter the second half of January.
But while the next seven days are set to be largely frost-free, forecasters say snow will return to Liverpool before the month is over.
The Met Office says Sunday will see a cloudy start, with a "fragmenting band of rain moving south across the morning".

Sun can be expected we the afternoon begins, with highs of 8C.
Its forecast for the following few days said: "Sunny spells on Monday after a frosty start. Cloudier on Tuesday and Wednesday.
"Becoming mild but turning increasingly windy."
Thursday is expected to be "largely dry with clear spells", while the end of the week is likely to be "cloudier with light rain at times".
Weather guide Accuweather provides a daily forecast some months in advance, and its experts have predicted when Liverpool will next see snow.
January 31 is the day, with highs of 7C that actually feel more like 2C. Lows of 2C, it says, will feel more like -3C.
More snow is forecast in the region on February 8, and February 11.
