Warm weather will grace Merseyside this weekend, however it won't be a dry few days.
Despite temperatures hitting 21C today, on Friday, June 10, the ex-tropical storm Alex has transferred into a more typical low-pressure system, bringing with it strong winds and showers. For Liverpool, those showers are expected to hit mid-morning on Saturday, June 11.
Those hoping to enjoy some sunshine should bask in it today, as it will be breezy throughout the morning and the Met Office predict it should be a dry afternoon. Over the weekend, blustery showers, some of which may be heavy, will hit.

Once Saturday is out of the way, however, winds will ease into Sunday. According to forecasters, Monday will probably be the driest day, before further rain approaches later on Tuesday.
Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist Jason Kelly said: "Although no longer a named storm, the remnants of Ex-Tropical Storm Alex will bring some unseasonably strong winds across the northern half of the UK – especially to the northwest on Friday and Saturday.
"The track of the low-pressure system currently looks to be off the northwest coast of the UK on Friday and Saturday and winds are likely to reach around 45mph for some parts of the north of the UK, with a chance of some gusts in excess of 55mph in some exposed northwestern island and coastal areas."
