Liverpool weather: This is how hot it will be today during the UK's mini heatwave

As a mini heatwave moves in on the UK, temperatures in Liverpool are beginning to heat up.

Forecasters have predicted almost a full week of sunshine and plenty of warmth but the mercury will really start to rise from Thursday afternoon onwards.

Thursday morning will start off sunny with a mild 13°C but as the day wears on the temperature will creep higher and higher until it peaks at around 4pm with a scorching 23°C.

It will then remain warm for the rest of the evening with temperatures remaining in the high teens through to midnight and into Friday.

According to the Met Office, we can then only expect the weather to keep improving with a maximum temperature of 25°C on Saturday.

A spokesperson for the weather authority said: "Any cloud will soon clear on Thursday morning.

"There will be plenty of very warm sunshine through the day and the wind will be light. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

"Friday will be breezy but very warm and sunny.

"The wind will ease on Saturday but it will be cooler, and then Sunday will be breezy, with a few showers."
