Liverpool weather: Temperatures drop as Merseyside faces full day of rain

People in Merseyside should prepare themselves for yet another dull weather day.

After the sunny Bank Holiday weekend the week took a dull turn and most days we have seen plenty of rain and dull skies.

According to the Met Office, this weather should be expected for yet another day as temperatures also drop to as low as 8°C.

Rain is expected across the region for around 18 hours on Thursday, starting at 6am.

There will be a brief spell in the afternoon, around 4pm, when the sun will try to break out of the cloud before being forced back in by more cloud.

Temperatures will only get as high as 10°C but will fall as low as 6°C.

Madrid and Liverpool weather forecast for the Champions League final weekend

A spokesperson for the weather authority said: "Cloudy and damp for most with further outbreaks of showery rain, the odd one turning heavy.

"Slowly turning drier from the northeast through the afternoon with a little sunshine. Maximum temperature 12 °C."
