Liverpool weather: Sunshine but keep a brolly handy

Liverpool is expected to have another day of sunshine but it's not all good news.

The Met Office have predicted that any misty low cloud will give way to "warm sunny spells" today.

The weather experts said that temperatures could reach 19°C on Monday.

But before we all get too carried away The Met Office website warns the warm sunny spells "will however trigger some scattered, slow moving showers for the afternoon, with some heavy downpours in places."

"The best of any sunshine will remain across the west. Feeling somewhat cooler. Maximum temperature 18 °C."

But for tonight things are looking good.

The Met Office say: "Showers will die away this evening leaving a dry night with clear spells."

What are cold weather alerts?

However patchy mist and fog will develop during the early hours, and it will turn chilly by morning. Minimum temperature 3 °C.
