Liverpool weather sees showers before bright week ahead

Despite some showers on the forecast, Merseyside is set for a dry and sunny autumnal week.

The Met Office reports that the week will start off dry and bright for most, with plenty of sunshine. There is a noticeable drop in temperature, with highs of 14C, but the sunny spells will make it feel warmer in the sunshine.

There will be a small chance of showers and it will be cloudy at times. This trend continues into Tuesday, with a continued risk of passing showers on the coast.

The BBC weather outlook reads: "Wednesday will see thick cloud and outbreaks of rain sweeping eastwards through the day. Thursday will have variable amounts of cloud along with sunny spells.

"Largely dry but a few spots of rain may move in later in the day. Friday is expected to see long spells of sunshine and increasing winds. It should remain mostly dry although there is a chance of a shower."
