Liverpool is set for a good dose of sunshine this week, as one of the hottest days of the year has been forecast.
The Met Office is predicting that on Wednesday, May 20, the city will see highs of at least 22°C.
This is coupled with wall-to-wall sunshine throughout the day.
Tomorrow (May 19) will be a cloudy morning with overnight rain continuing.
The rain will ease for many through the afternoon but hanging onto the cloudier weather with the chance of some drizzle.
But on Wednesday, temperatures are set to sky rocket to a balmy 22°C.
By 1pm, Liverpool will have reached the peak of its weather, but at 4pm temperatures will have only dropped by 1°C.
The Met Office say: "A warm and dry day on Wednesday with sunshine after a cloudy start.
"Cloudy with rain, perhaps heavy and thundery, on Thursday. Rain overnight into Friday clearing to blustery showers."
Luckily, Liverpool may escape some of the rain, with only cloud and sunny intervals forecast for Thursday and Friday.
However, temperatures will dip between 15°C to 16°C, following Wednesday's heatwave.
