Liverpool weather: Met Office shares exact dates snow will hit UK in February

As the UK recovers from storms Malik and Corrie last week, we are currently enjoying some milder temperatures.

While it may be tempting to put winter clothes away, it'd be better to keep them out a while longer.

Forecasters are now warning snow and freezing weather are set to hit the country again this month.

The lowest temperatures are set to be in Scotland but it feel well be below zero as well for parts of Merseyside and other parts of northern England.

The Met Office said there is "a risk of wintry precipitation in the north" between February 6 and February 15.

This week looks set to remain mostly cloudy and mild.

There's a chance of drizzly rain on Wednesday, with some sunny spells likely to develop in places.

It's expected to stay cloudy overnight, with lows of 6C.

Thursday looks to be similar, with a "few pockets" of rain.

The Met Office outlook for Friday to Sunday said: "Colder on Friday with sunshine and blustery wintry showers.

"Mostly dry on Saturday but possibly wetter on Sunday. Windy at times."

Forecaster Accuweather predicts snow in Liverpool on February 20.

This, they say, will be February's coldest day for the region - with lows of 1C that feel more like -3C.

The warmest day will be Monday (February 7), when there'll be highs of 11C.
