Storm Ellen is set to batter parts of the country this week with potentially damaging and severe winds set to hit Merseyside.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind for the region as Storm Ellen sweeps across the country.
The storm, which contains the remnants of Tropical Storm Kyle, is to bring strong gales.
The warning runs from Friday at 4am to 6pm.
Tonight, Merseyside is set to be hit with heavy rain and wind.

The Met Office said: "Windy conditions for much of the region, with a further band of heavy gusty rain progressing northeast across the area overnight.
"It will turn drier and clearer though by dawn. Minimum temperature 15 °C."
