Liverpool is set to be hit by snow tonight and into Tuesday, as temperatures plummet across Merseyside.
Large parts of the UK have been issued yellow and amber weather warnings by the Met Office with some areas set to see large amounts of snowfall.
Liverpool is not included in the warning, but the city is still set to see some snow, as temperatures struggle to stay above freezing.
According to the Met Office forecast snow is set to hit Liverpool in the early evening, with some heavy snow expected overnight and into Tuesday morning.
The forecast for the North West as a whole said: "This evening and tonight will remain cold and breezy with the ongoing risk of a few snow flurries pushing in to eastern regions. Cloud amounts will be variable so clear spells are likely in places.
"Tomorrow will continue very cold with a brisk easterly wind persisting, continuing to bring the risk of occasional snow flurries into eastern regions. Spells of sunshine in the west are likely.
"Wednesday should be less breezy and often dry and bright but staying cold.
"Thursday will be cloudy and breezier with the chance of a few snow showers developing for the afternoon.
"A lot of uncertainty exists for Friday. A system is expected approach from the southwest bringing a band of snow from the west and fresh south-easterly winds. However confidence is low at this point."
