After a day of no rain on Wednesday, showers will return to Merseyside today - but it's not all bad news.
According to the Met Office , Thursday will be made up of a very confused weather forecast with sunshine, rain, cloud and mild temperatures all being predicted.
The morning will be kicked off with heavy showers from 6am but these are expected to dry out ahead of the morning commute .
From 8am, the chance of rain will drop but the city is still expected to be shrouded in cloud for most of the morning.
From midday, the sun will begin to appear through the cloud, leaving us with a bright and sunny afternoon and evening from 2pm onwards.
Friday and Saturday will follow the pattern from Thursday evening and are expected to be mostly dry, sunny and warm.
Great news for anyone with outdoor plans this weekend.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Sunny spells and scattered showers through the day.
"Some of the showers will be heavy, and it will be breezy but probably drier and sunnier in places by the afternoon.
"Maximum temperature 17 °C."
