Heavy rain and much cooler temperatures are set to hit Merseyside on Wednesday as the weather takes another turn for the worse.
Rain is due to set in from early morning and get heavier throughout the afternoon, with 12 hours of rain forecast.
The Met Office predicts Merseyside will be hit with heavy showers from around 9am.
A spokesman for the forecaster said: "Persistent and sometimes heavy rain will continue on Wednesday morning, perhaps bringing difficult driving conditions."
Forecasters predict highs of 10 C and lows of 8 C on Wednesday.
