The Met Office say Liverpool is in for more showers amid the sunshine.
But with thunder raising its head this week we can expect temperatures to rise across Merseyside by Saturday.
The weather experts say we are set for "sunshine and scattered showers today with the odd heavy downpour possible, though these easing later."
And the forecasters add: "Feeling pleasant enough in the sunshine, the best of which will be towards the coast. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:
Showers should fade away this evening to leave a dry and chilly night with clear skies, but turning cloudier by dawn. Minimum temperature 2 °C.
More rain is expected tomorrow.
But by the weekend the Met Office say "some brighter spells are possible on Saturday and it will turn increasingly warm and humid."
