Liverpool weather forecast: LFC fans to bask in sunshine on last day of season

Liverpool FC fans can look forward to a day of glorious sunshine for the last day of the season.

As the Premier League title race enters its final stretch, nothing is for certain - but Reds fans can count on pleasantly warm temperatures and sunshine.

As the Reds face Wolves at Anfield, the Met Office predicts by 3pm, the region will be basking in the sun.

The day looks set to be one of uninterrupted sunshine, with forecasters predicting cl ear skies and warm temperatures all day long .

But there's even better news, the following week will see temperatures remain in double figures as Tuesday peaks to 17C.

It's a welcome change from a week of wet and stormy conditions on Merseyside.

The Met Office said: "After a chilly start, Sunday will be fine with plenty of sunshine. It will become pleasantly warm, though a sea breeze later in the afternoon may cool down coastal areas. Maximum temperature 17 C."

Heading into the rest of the week, the weather service said: "Most places will stay fine with plenty of hazy sunshine. Patchy rural frost is likely overnight but daytimes will be increasingly warm except where sea breezes develop near the coast."
