Liverpool could bask in temperatures of up to 28°C amid the heatwave but thunder could return by the weekend.
The Met Office say early morning low cloud will soon thin and clear to leave a fine, dry and warm day with plenty of strong sunshine.
And temperatures in Liverpool as high as 28 °C.
Tonight should be home to clear skies, and with just the odd patch of misty low cloud forming over hills during the early hours.
Temperatures holding in double figures for most. Minimum temperature 11 °C.
And the weather authority say it should be a sunshine filled weekend too.
But there is a chance of thunder.
The say "Dry, warm and sunny for most on Saturday. Cloudier along the coasts after midday, and a small chance of some thundery downpours developing mid afternoon onwards."
Maximum temperature 27 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Fresher, cloudier and breezy on Sunday and Monday with some showery rain at times. Lighter winds on Tuesday with sunny spells and a few showers.
