The Met Office say Liverpool is in for heavy rain as skies cloud over today.
And the gloomy Merseyside weather and haeavy rain is expected to continue into the night.
The weather experts say: "Skies will be clouding over early today, with rain arriving from the west."
They add: "There will be some heavy outbreaks later in the afternoon, and it will become fairly breezy."
Maximum temperature 14 °C.
Confirming we can expect more bad weather tonight the Met Office forecast: "The rain will continue through the evening and last well into the night for many.
More rain is expected tomorrow but things are looking up for the weekend.
The Met Office say: "Turning warmer into the weekend. Some outbreaks of rain at times, but there will also be some periods of warm and sunny weather. Cooler, with thundery showers on Sunday."
