Liverpool weather forecast: Five days of rain set to interrupt sunny spells

The Met Office are predicting at least five days of rain amid the sunshine.

The weather experts say Liverpool will still enjoy plenty of sunny spells this week but at least five days of showers are also on the cards.

Today the Met Office say it will be largely dry with sunny spells throughout the day.

However, there is the risk of the odd shower breaking out during the afternoon.

It will feel warm in the sunshine, with light winds. Maximum temperature 24 °C.

As for tonight, the Met Office say: "Any showers will soon fade to leave a fine end to the day. It will stay dry with clear spells overnight, with perhaps a few isolated fog patches forming."Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Tomorrow is also set to be a largely dry day but again some showers are forecast for the afternoon.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Weather forecasters say "a band of rain" is moving east on Thursday, with brighter, fresher and showery conditions following.

Wet and windy on Friday. Largely dry with sunny spells Saturday, but again the odd shower is possible.
