Liverpool weather forecast: Clouds gather as temperatures rise

The Met Office say the clouds are looming over Liverpool today.

But it will feel warm with temperatures across Merseyside rising and some sunshine.

The weather experts say: "Cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle at first, especially on coasts and hills. Becoming drier and brighter, with warm sunny spells developing this afternoon."

Confirming things are hotting up the Met Office say we could see a maximum temperature of 14 °C.

Tonight:

Rain will gradually ease overnight, becoming light and patchy, mainly affecting coasts and hills. Elsewhere, it will be largely dry with some clear spells developing.

A mild night to come. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Lucky Liverpool fans visiting Madrid this weekend will bask in one of the hottest days of the year.

Weather for the Spanish capital is expected to soar up to a scorching 34C without a cloud in the sky and at most a 2% chance of any rain.

Supporters are being urged to slap on the sun cream and make sure they drink plenty of water in between beers.

Back in Liverpool and Saturday is forecast to be cloudy with some patchy rain and drizzle on coasts and hills at first. Some warm sunny spells developing to the south during the afternoon.
