Liverpool weather forecast: Cloud creeps in on yet another hot day in the city

People in Liverpool are set for yet another hot day across the city but cloud could block out the glorious sunshine.

The North West has enjoyed a massive increase in temperatures over the last few weeks with most days reaching the low 20s.

Thursday will be no different, with temperatures to get as high as 21°C but the sun may not be beating down on us quite as strongly.

According to the Met Office , sunshine can be expected from around 8am until lunch time but from 1pm onwards, cloud will start to take over.

The afternoon looks to be particularly dull but temperatures will remain high at around 18°C.

Despite the forecast giving us plenty to look forward to, it is possible that brief, light showers may rain down over Merseyside

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "A largely dry day although cloudier and cooler than of late across Cumbria, where one or two spots of light rain are possible in the afternoon.

"Warm sunny spells elsewhere. Maximum temperature 21 °C."
