The Met Office say we are in for a few days of mainly sunny and dry weather but we should brace ourselves for thunder.
The weather experts say Liverpool will today enjoy a largely dry and bright day with spells of sunshine and fairly light winds.
They add a "few showers may pop up" but it will remain largely dry.
Maximum temperature 21 °C.
Tonight the Met Office say any showers will fade "leaving a dry night with clear spells".
Wet and windy weather is set to return on Friday with scattered showers and thunder is due to raise its ugly head on Saturday.
The weather forecasters say: "Sunny spells and slow moving, heavy and thundery showers on Saturday, but mostly dry and bright on Sunday. Windy but fine on Monday. Turning increasingly warm and rather humid."
