Spring has sprung in Liverpool as rain seems a thing of the past.
Yesterday might have been Merseyside's last damp day for a while, as forecasters predict dry days for the next week. While the weather is still chilly, the days are beginning to be much brighter with clear skies on the horizon.
The Met Office says that today on Thursday, March 17, it will be a cold but sunny start. This will be the theme for the next couple of days, with average high temperatures of 14C but no cloud cover restricting the sun.

Into the evening clouds may gather but these will break during the second part of the night. A crisp, dry and breezy night is expected. On Friday, March 18 a bright morning will lead into decent sunny spells throughout the day.
It will start to feeling warm particularly in the sunshine, with maximum temperatures 16C. This will continue into the weekend which will be dry with plenty of sunshine.
While the nights and early mornings may be chilly, with local frost and fog at first, it will feel warm in the sunshine of the day. Into the new week there may be a little more cloud around Monday, but it will stay dry according to forecasters.
Those who had their eyes to the sky last night might have also predicted the sunny weather. Above Merseyside was a pink, orange and red sky last night.
When the sky is a shade of pink, it often means that warmer, sunnier weather is on the way. Last night, the orange and pink sky was due to the Sahara dust storm that moved through the UK.
A spokesperson from the Met Office said: "We can see the Saharan Dust that has pushed across Spain and France, into southeast England Whilst this dust is mostly about 2km above ground level, some deposits may fall to the ground, especially during today's rain in southern parts of the UK."
