After a wet and cold May June is shaping up to be much brighter in Liverpool and the heatwave is set to continue for the next 12 days.
Over the past week Merseyside has seen bright sunshine and temperatures have stayed in the low to mid-20s, making it feel much like summer.
Thanks to high pressure sticking around, Liverpool's heatwave is set to continue for over a week yet, with some of the best weather falling on the weekend.
Beaches, parks and other outdoor spaces are expected to be very busy this coming weekend, with people urged to socially distance where possible and remember to take their rubbish home with them.
But those who can enjoy the sunshine, whatever day of the week, will be happy as blue skies and warm temperatures will be around for quite a while yet.
