Liverpool weather dry and bright ahead of Christmas forecast

A very mild, more unsettled weather pattern is in place across Merseyside this week.

On Tuesday, December 20, it will be mainly fine dry and bright. However some isolated showers could be possible throughout the day. It's set to feel fresher, with highs of 9C and a breeze developing in the afternoon.

Into the evening, it will be chilly with some rain across the region. Early rain will clear quickly on Wednesday, for another bright day with some showers.

For the rest of the week, the Met Office reports the forecast will be changeable with showers and longer periods of rain interspersed by sunny spells.

The BBC outlook reads: "On Thursday, any rain will soon clear eastwards during the morning to reveal plenty of sunny spells. It will cloud over by the end of the day however. Heavy rain on Friday morning.

"It will tend to clear by the afternoon, with sunny spells developing. Turning breezy. Saturday may continue to be breezy with heavy showers pushing in from the southwest at times."
