Liverpool weather: Chilly mornings in the run up to the Bank Holiday weekend

Merseyside is set for gentle breezes and spells of sunshine on Thursday as temperatures will sit comfortably around 12-16 degrees celsius throughout the day.

Thursday morning will start off slightly chilly, the Met Office has advised, and patches of fog and mist are to be expected in hilly areas early on, before temperatures begin to increase into the afternoon.

Gentle easterly breezes will skirt through Liverpool  heading towards the Pennines throughout the day. It will feel more like 14C for most of the afternoon.

Friday is set for similar spells of sunshine and cloud, but there will be the chance for spots of showers across parts of the North West.

But happily Merseyside should remain untouched until towards the end of the Bank Holiday.
