Liverpool weather chilly and grey with some sunny spells

After heavy rain over the last couple of days, Merseyside will experience more dry conditions towards the end of the week.

Today, on Friday, November 25, it will be mostly dry with some sunny spells. The Met Office say there will be a chilly breeze and between sunny spells it will be grey and dull.

After the possibility of a few showers in the morning, these will die out by the afternoon. Winds are much lighter than Thursday, but still breezy, especially on the coasts.

Into the evening there will be dry and clear spells with some mist and drizzle over high ground. Temperatures will drop to around 3C.

On Saturday, forecasters say it will be a cool grey start with further heavy rain moving in from the west in the afternoon. Winds strengthening through the day with coastal gales later, but easing again overnight.

The BBC weather outlook for Sunday to Tuesday reads: "Sunday will be a largely dry day with plenty of sunshine for much of the day. A few sharp showers may develop in the morning, however.

"Monday will see a mix of variable cloud, sunny spells and a few spots of rain lingering in places. Winds easing down. Tuesday will be a dry but cloudy day with very little in the way of sunshine. Trending cooler."
