Liverpool weather: A wet start turning brighter later on

Liverpool should expect a wet start to the day on Friday but with spells of warmer weather and sunnier spells later on.

The Met Office said Liverpool will see a cloudy start to the day with outbreaks of heavy rain on Friday, June 3. The rain will gradually ease through the morning and as the day progresses we should expect brighter spells with some periods of sunshine.

By around midday the outbreaks of rain should subside with the likelihood of rain not rising up 10% after 12pm. Temperatures will not be as warm as yesterday with highs in Liverpool currently sitting around 18C later this afternoon.

A light breeze with stronger wind gusts is also expected to make temperatures feel colder than they are. This evening should see periods of sun turning into a dry night. Initial clear skies will remain for most of the night with sunny, warm weather expected from as early as 6am.

The Met Office weather forecast for the North West said: "It will be a cloudy start with outbreaks of locally heavy rain. The rain will gradually ease through the morning and it will become mostly dry through the afternoon, with sunny spells and an isolated shower possible. Maximum temperature 18C."
