Liverpool vs Yokohama F Marinos LIVE!
Liverpool ended their pre-season tour of Asia with a 3-1 win over Yokohama FM at the Nissan Stadium.
Liverpool started brightly and hit the post through Cody Gakpo as they looked to bounce back from defeat to AC Milan last weekend. Hugo Ekitike, making his first start since his £69 million move from Frankfurt, also went close with a flicked effort. Yokohama, though, held firm and restricted Liverpool to a handful of clear-cut opportunities in the first-half.
The home side took a shock lead through Asahi Uenaka, but Liverpool replied with Florian Wirtz grabbing his first goal for the club. A flurry of substitutions changed the game in Liverpool's favour, with teenagers Trey Nyoni and Rio Ngumoha securing a 3-1 win for the Reds.
Nyoni converted acrobatically from fellow substitute Jeremie Frimpong's cross before the impressive Ngumoha picked out the bottom corner with a sumptuous strike late on. 16-year-old Ngumoha capped a superb cameo with a goal, backing up his encouraging performance against AC Milan.
Liverpool return to Anfield next Monday for a double header of friendlies against Athletic Club.

The Reds will be looking to get back to winning ways this afternoon
Slot goes strong
11:08 , Sam TabuteauArne Slot has named a strong starting XI against Yokohama FM.
Hugo Ekitike leads the line and he’ll be backed up by Mohammed Salah, Florian Wirtz and Cody Gakpo.
There won’t be too many changes, if any, to this afternoon’s team when the champions take on Bournemouth in their first Premier League game of the season.
Ekitike to play up to 45 minutes
11:00 , Sam TabuteauLiverpool manager Arne Slot says Hugo Ekitike will play between 30-45 minutes this afternoon.
He also explained Alisson’s absence from the squad, with the Liverpool shot-stopper returning to Brazil for personal reasons.
Slot to LFC TV: "The guys that start most of them will play 60 minutes for the first time except for Ryan, of course. That also means many of them will only play 30 minutes.
"No, (Alisson) had to go back to Brazil for private reasons, which is far from ideal. Private life is more important in these matters.
"Ekitike can play half an hour to 45 minutes. Let's see if he can get to halftime. Everyone is always interested in how we do, but more so now because we have signed a few players. It is interesting for fans to see them but I already have a good impression of them.”

Mac Allister "feeling good" after returning to training
09:59 , Sam TabuteauAlexis Mac Allister says he’s “feeling good” after returning to training with Liverpool on their pre-season tour.
Mac Allister missed the Reds’ final two games of last season and has not featured yet in pre-season.
The Argentinian midfielder said he hopes to be back before the start of the Premier League season.
“It has been a long time, a difficult time because it is never nice to be injured,” Mac Allister said.
“But now I’m feeling good, it’s just about time and getting fit because they have had a good pre-season so they are definitely in a different physical shape, so I have to get used (to it) again. But it’s nice to be out there.
“It’s hard to explain (the injury) because it’s not just one spot that you say, ‘OK, we have to focus on this.’ It’s like two or three different things that I’ve been struggling (with) for a couple of months.
“At the end, we found the solution; we have been working a lot in the gym, on my structure. It’s hard to explain it but as I said, now I’m feeling good and for me that’s the most important thing.
“As I said, I need to work on my physical shape and get used again to the level of the boys.
“But I’m feeling really, really good, training with the team and I’m pretty sure I’m going to be fine for the beginning of the season and hopefully for the (Community Shield) as well.”
Diaz departure to pave the way for Isak move
09:48 , Sam TabuteauLuis Diaz’s £65.5 million move to Bayern Munich is set to free up Liverpool to intensify their interest in Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.

The Anfield club are now preparing their first bid for the player, having already agreed personal terms.
Liverpool vs Yokohama FM prediction
09:32 , Sam TabuteauDefensively, Liverpool struggled against Milan as all four goals that were conceded came in transition. Slot’s side will not be facing the same standard of quality and will be expected to win convincingly.
Yokohama FM’s domestic struggles means they are relegation battle, with the upcoming clash against Tokyo Verdy arguably of greater importance.
Still, it should be an entertaining friendly with the Premier League champions flexing their superiority.
Liverpool to win, 4-1.
