Mohamed Salah has been restored to the Liverpool starting line-up for today’s final fixture of the Premier League season against Wolves.
The Egyptian missed out on Tuesday’s miraculous Champions League victory over Barcelona after sustaining a concussion at Newcastle four days earlier.
However, having recovered sufficiently, he is back as one of two changes made from that game by Jurgen Klopp.
Midweek goalscorer Gini Wijnaldum is the other, the Dutchman taking the place of James Milner in the centre of the park.
Salah’s availability means a return to the bench for Xherdan Shaqiri, who will sit alongside the fit-again Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Daniel Sturridge, who could be set for his last Reds appearance today.
The striker’s contract expires this summer and, as things stand, he is unlikely to be offered an extension.
