Liverpool vs Tottenham: Sadio Mane reveals he wants to finish his career at Anfield

Sadio Mane has revealed he wants to finish his career at Liverpool.

The Senegalese forward has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, with the Spanish side supposedly interested in signing Mane.

But the 27-year-old says he is content at Anfield and keen to help his side win more silverware this season.

“I am very happy to be part of this great club and I enjoy it,” Mane told TV2, a Norwegian broadcaster.

“Hopefully I stay here forever. I’ve been to some clubs around the world, but Liverpool is unique. It’s like a family.

“The mood is always incredible. But it’s normal that we’ve been together for four years and know each other. We are also together off the field and that is important for morale.”

Liverpool host Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday looking to maintain their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

The Reds have been in fine form, only dropping their first points of the season against Manchester United last weekend, with their star forward triumvirate typically potent during the start of the new season.

Mane is glad to be able to play with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.

“It’s easy to work with them. Personally, I feel lucky to get to play with them. They are really good players and make everything easier.

“Mo is fun sometimes. He is a cool and nice guy.

“Bobby is very shy. He is the most shy football player I have ever met, but very nice.”

Jurgen Klopp’s side had their advantage cut to three after Manchester City beat Aston Villa.

Victory over Spurs – who they beat thrice last season, including in June’s Champions League final – would move them 16 points clear of their opponents.
