It's been a long time since Newcastle won any type of fixture at Anfield and I won't bore you with how many attempts it's been since Stevie Watson chipped David James to score a wonder goal in the old Coca-Cola Cup to bag a 1-0 win.
Incredibly, Liverpool find themselves in seventh place after winning the title last season and have lost to the likes of Burnley, Brighton & Hove Albion and Fulham.
Therefore this game really should be deemed as an opportunity for Newcastle.
They may never get a better chance to end their woeful run at Anfield.

I think Newcastle have made a massive improvement in the last three games and in all fairness, they deserve a bit of credit for bouncing back from the awful display at Brighton.
Seven points from nine now puts them on the brink of safety.
And they should be confident of adding to that, even in a fixture that has caused them so many problems down the years.
Anfield is a different proposition, more than most grounds, without the home support there and I hope Newcastle take full advantage.
That said, I think a draw is a likely outcome here.
