Liverpool vs Man City: Reliving Raheem Sterling's remarkable rise under Pep Guardiola

Raheem Sterling has gone from strength to strength at Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola helping to mould him as one of the most feared forwards in world football.

The now-24-year-old moved from Liverpool in 2015 for a fee of up to £49 million, making him the most expensive-ever English player at the time.

Since then, Sterling has matured as a player, has become a free-scoring wide forward and has emerged as one of the key figures in the England national team too, earning 55 caps to date.

Scoring at a rate of around one every two games for the past two seasons, Sterling has again stepped up further in 2019/20, hitting a goal per game on average at international level and not sitting far off that rate at club level, too.

A new five-year deal signed last season ensures that his future and prime years should lie at the Etihad Stadium, as he continues to prove one of the game’s elite attacking talents.

Check out his best moments in the video above.
