Liverpool vs Lyon result: Youngsters impress as Reds ease to victory in final pre-season friendly

Liverpool came from behind to beat Lyon 3-1 in their final pre-season friendly of the summer.

The French side took the lead early on when Alisson dropped a cross and then fouled Moussa Dembele.

The Liverpool keeper was booked and sent the wrong way by former Manchester United man Memphis Depay, who slammed home his penalty.

Roberto Firmino levelled the score with a smart turn and finish and Liverpool were gifted the lead when young defender Joachim Andersen inadvertently volleyed Ki-Jana Hoever’s cross into his own box.

Harry Wilson then made sure of the win with a thunderous strike from 25-yards out.
