Liverpool vs Huddersfield
Premier League 2018-19
Venue: Anfield
Date: Friday, 26 April, 2019
Kick-off: 8pm GMT
Liverpool welcome the Premier League's bottom side Huddersfield to Anfield in another must-win clash.
Man City’s victory at Old Trafford in the Manchester derby on Wednesday night has seen Pep Guardiola’s side leap-frog Liverpool into top spot.
Liverpool simply cannot afford anything less than nine points from their remaining three games.
That starts against already-relegated Huddersfield - who have lost all but one of their last 13 games.
Liverpool vs Huddersfield team news and predicted line-ups
Fabinho was withdrawn in Sunday’s win over Cardiff after a clash of heads but Klopp insisted the midfielder was “okay”, suggesting he is likely to be in contention come Friday.
Joe Gomez made a short cameo off the bench in that game having also appeared late on against Porto and will be hoping for a lengthier run out sooner rather than later.
Dejan Lovren is also available again after his recent illness.
Klopp may opt to rotate his squad with one eye perhaps on next week's visit to Barcelona for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.
Predicted XIs
Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Milner, Keita, Salah, Firminho, Origi
Watford: Lossl, Smith, Schindler, Kongolo, Durm, Kachunga, Bacuna, Hogg, Mbenza, Mooy, Mounie
Score prediction: Liverpool 4-0 Huddersfield
There is no reason why Liverpool shouldn't storm to victory here, regardless of what happens midweek in Manchester.
The Barcelona game next Wednesday may be in Klopp's thinking here but there is a big enough gap between those two fixtures to ensure a strong XI will be selected.
