Liverpool vs Huddersfield prediction: Premier League 2019 line-ups, team news, odds, live stream, TV channel

Liverpool vs Huddersfield
Premier League 2018-19
Venue: Anfield
Kick-off: 8pm GMT, tonight

Liverpool welcome the Premier League's bottom side Huddersfield to Anfield in another must-win clash.

Man City’s victory at Old Trafford in the Manchester derby on Wednesday night has seen Pep Guardiola’s side leap-frog Liverpool into top spot.

Liverpool simply cannot afford anything less than nine points from their remaining three games.

That starts against already-relegated Huddersfield - who have lost all but one of their last 13 games.

Liverpool vs Huddersfield team news and predicted line-ups

Fabinho and Adam Lallana are doubts for Liverpool’s meeting with Huddersfield Town on Friday, Jurgen Klopp has revealed.

The Reds should, however, be able to welcome Dejan Lovren back into the squad following his recent absence.

Fabinho lasted just four minutes after being introduced as a substitute during the latter stages of last weekend’s 2-0 victory over Cardiff, sustaining a head injury in his first challenge.

Lallana, meanwhile, has been sidelined since the last international break due to what was described as a ‘minor’ muscle injury.

But, while that midfield duo may not be back to face the Terriers, there is better news on Lovren, who appears to have overcome illness.

Predicted XIs

Liverpool: Alisson, Gomez, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Keita, Salah, Mane, Firmino

Huddersfield: Lossl, Smith, Schindler, Kongolo, Durm, Kachunga, Bacuna, Hogg, Mbenza, Mooy, Mounie

Score prediction: Liverpool 4-0 Huddersfield

There is no reason why Liverpool shouldn't storm to victory here, regardless of what happens midweek in Manchester.

The Barcelona game next Wednesday may be in Klopp's thinking here but there is a big enough gap between those two fixtures to ensure a strong XI will be selected.
