Liverpool vs Genk half-time player ratings: Georginio Wijnaldum goal cancelled out by Mbwana Samatta

Champions League holders Liverpool squeaked past Belgium side Genk in an entertaining match at Anfield.

The Reds made a bright start and took the lead early into the game when Georginio Wijnaldum stabbed into the net following a low cross from James Milner.

But Genk went into the half-time break level, thanks to a fine header from Mbwana Samatta at the near post.

Liverpool applied the pressure in the second-half and eventually retook the lead through Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who won the match with a fine finished into the bottom corner.

Here are our player ratings.
