Liverpool vs Dortmund line up - Another opportunity for Yasser Larouci as injured duo miss out

Yasser Larouci will be given another chance to stake his first-team claim when Liverpool begin their US tour against Borussia Dortmund tonight.

The 18-year-old left-back has been named in Jurgen Klopp 's starting line-up for the friendly in the 77,000-capacity Notre Dame Stadium in Indiana.

Larouci is competing with fellow youngster Adam Lewis to prove they can deputise for Andy Robertson and spare the Reds a move in the transfer market before next month's deadline.

He is joined in defence by Joel Matip and Joe Gomez at centre-back while Nathaniel Clyne is right-back. Simon Mignolet again starts in goal, with Andy Lonergan, brought in to ease a goalkeeper crisis, on the bench.

Fabinho, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain form the midfield, while Divock Origi leads the attack with Ryan Kent and Harry Wilson again on the flanks.

The quintet of players who returned to training last weekend – Jordan Henderson , Trent Alexander-Arnold, Gini Wijnaldum, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson – will all feature for the first time this pre-season, but start on the bench.

Adam Lallana (dead leg) and Bobby Duncan (foot) miss out.

LIVERPOOL (4-3-3): Mignolet; Clyne, Matip, Gomez, Larouci; Fabinho, Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Wilson, Kent, Origi.

Subs: Lonergan, Atherton, Van Dijk, Wijnaldum, Lovren, Henderson, Brewster, Robertson, Lewis, Phillips, Jones, Hoever, Woodburn, Alexander-Arnold.
