Liverpool vs Crystal Palace prediction: Mo Salah to secure Champions League spot

Champions League football is on the line in this season's finale in the Premier League as Liverpool welcome Crystal Palace to Anfield.

The Reds are the clear favourites at 1/7 with Betfred while Palace are 16/1 and a draw is 15/2.

Liverpool are in the control of their fate here, they are equal with Leicester City on points but ahead on goal difference and unless the Foxes find a way to swing a four-goal deficit in their favour, this is Jurgen Klopp's to lose.

Which is amazing considering the complete farce of a season they have had with injuries - I even tipped that Klopp may have to accept they would not get Europe at all with how other teams were doing around them just a few weeks ago. Proof these things really do go down right to the wire.

The Reds have won their last seven Premier League meetings with Crystal Palace by an aggregate score of 22-5 so it is safe to say Liverpool will be feeling confident going into this match.

Tips

  • Mo Salah to score two or more goals - 13/8
  • Liverpool to win to nil - 10/11

The last time these sides met, Palace received a thrashing at home losing 7-0 to the former league champions with Klopp's side dominating at Selhurst Park in some style too.

With a Champions League place in the balance, expect Liverpool to go for a similar result when they welcome former boss Roy Hodgson for his last ever match as Palace manager.

One person who will be keen to add a few goals to his tally will be Mo Salah.

The Egyptian winger has his eyes set on not only Europe's biggest competition but the personal accolade of the Golden Boot.

He is currently level with Harry Kane with 22 league goals which means the one goal may not be enough to claim the reward - he will need to push himself to give his side a comfortable lead and secure Champions League football early on.

This could be a dramatic one between two of the Premier League's best attackers today.
