Liverpool vs Chelsea live stream: How to watch Uefa Super Cup 2019 online and on TV

Liverpool and Chelsea clash tonight in the Uefa Super Cup and you can follow LIVE coverage from the match in Istanbul below.

Liverpool beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in June to win the Champions League for a sixth time. The Reds have meanwhile won the Super Cup more than any other English side with three wins, with their last title coming in 2005, when they beat CSKA Moscow 3-1 in the Netherlands.

Chelsea, who beat Arsenal to win the Europa League last season, are looking to win the Super Cup for the second time. Their only previous success came when they beat Real Madrid 1-0 in Monaco in 1998. Follow the latest updates below:

Good evening and welcome to our live coverage of Liverpool vs Chelsea in tonight's Super Cup final.

We expect to have team news in around two hours time.

In the meantime, here is how we predict the two teams will line-up this evening:

Liverpool will enjoy what feels like a home advantage this evening.

The Reds have taken 5,973 tickets for the game at the Vodafone Park, which holds 41,000 spectators. Liverpool also enjoy a strong local fan base in Turkey.

Chelsea have meanwhile taken just 1,314 tickets – although that didn’t seem to harm how the team played in Baku, Azerbaijan at the end of last season.

Some pre-game Chelsea reading: this excellent interview with the man who Frank Lampard says will play a crucial role for the Blues this season once fit, Reece James.

Frank Lampard has said that he is "optimistic" ahead of tonight's match, even after a heavy defeat to Manchester United last weekend.

Lampard said: "In terms of the defeat {at Old Trafford] I think you always learn as a manager.

"The clear lesson for everyone was if you make defensive errors against good teams it will cost you.

"The second message to the players was they did so many good things in the game, in terms of how we played in the game - if you take out the mistakes for the goals there were lots of good things."

Five talking points ahead of tonight's big game:

Come here often?

News just coming in that Naby Keita is out of tonight's game due to a hip injury. He was set to start, it seemed, but not any more. It seems even more likely we will see Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain start tonight, I suspect.

Well this is awkward. Our man in Istanbul, Miguel Delaney, has sent us this from tonight's match programme in which Frank Lampard describes Arsenal's David Luiz as "important"We're guessing this interview was conducted a little while ago...

Tonight will be Chelsea's fourth appearance in the Super Cup. They won the trophy on their first attempt, defeating Real Madrid 1-0 in 1998 but lost their next two games in 2012 and 21013 with teams that both featured Frank Lampard.

On his desire to win tonight Lampard said: "It means a lot to the club, I know that because I lost two finals.

"I understand the feeling of when you work hard to get into this game, that you give your all to try to win it.

"It's another trophy for the club and will give us a feeling that if we can beat Liverpool and win a cup, we can go on from there."

Liverpool XI: Adrian; Gomez, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Milner; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Salah, Mane.
Subs: Lonergan, Kelleher, Wijnaldum, Firmino, Lallana, Shaqiri, Brewster, Origi, Hoever, Alexander-Arnold, Elliott.

Chelsea XI: Kepa; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Christensen, Emerson; Jorginho, Kante, Kovacic; Pedro, Giroud, Pulisic.
Subs: Caballero, Rudiger, Alonso, Zappacosta, Tomori, Mount, Kennedy, Gilmour, Barkley, Batshuayi, Abraham, Willian.

As expected, Adrian will this evening make his Liverpool debut.

N'Golo Kante is also ruled fit to start after missing Chelsea's opening Premier League defeat to Manchester United.

Tonight's match is historic in more ways than one. It will be the first ever all Premier League Super Cup but more importantly it's a huge day for France's Stephanie Frappart.

She will become the first female to referee a major European men's game.

The 35-year-old was in charge of the Women's World Cup final between the Netherlands and the USA in July.

Her officiating team for tonight includes Frenchwoman Manuela Nicolosi and Republic of Ireland's Michelle O'Neill.

Turkish male referee Cuneyt Cakir will be the fourth official in his home city of Istanbul.

We know who'll be starting in Istanbul but who gets the nod in our combined XI? Take a look:

Stephanie Frappart, in a pre-match press conference, spoke about how she was "very happy" to become the first female referee to take charge of a major European match in men's football.

"I didn't expect to be given the Super Cup assignment - it's a great honour for me, and for female referees as well," she said.

"I hope it serves as an example to female referees, and to any young girls who may aspire to be a referee."

The formations are in. 4-3-3 for both sides. Kante plays in the centre of mid-field after rumours pegged him to start out on the right.

The two sides have met each other 10 times in European competitions. This will be the 11th. Five games have ended in draws including the last match a decade ago which finished 4-4.

Liverpool have won twice with Chelsea taking the spoils three times. Which side is going to change that tonight?

If the 90 minutes ends in a draw we'll be heading to extra time and then penalties so strap in...

Both sides are out on the pitch for the warm ups. We should be in for a good contest, Liverpool are the favourites and there remain quite a few questions over Lampard's Chelsea but both teams are experienced and both want to add to their trophy cabinets.

15 minutes to go until kick off, who you going for? The bookies have Liverpool as coming out on top but you never know with Chelsea.
